If you feel like you have been thrown in a pit and life handed you over to be sold as a slave, remember that every pit leads to a well and every house in which you find yourself is a platform from which you can shine your light. Joseph was first left for dead in the pit, then he received "life" by being sold as a slave. His attitude about it all and his relationship with God is what led him to shine a light so bright in the house of Egypt that he was placed as second in command to be a light to the nations.
