Last year (Oct 2014) I was at Kozi Bay on an outreach and in that time God spoke to me about stepping into the destiny that He has proclaimed over me and the way He did this was by changing my perspective this is what I learned from the Lord:
The Lord says that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, so by default we should submit and surrender to the fact that His ways and thoughts are not our ways and thoughts. Now taking this in consideration we can clearly see the difference between one being prideful and one being humble when we look at Saul when he was anointed and David when he was anointed. Saul was clearly from the start prideful as he continuously looked to himself rather than to submit to Gods ways for him and thoughts over him. To be prideful is to hear Gods voice (what He speaks to and over you) and NOT submit and surrender to it, which ultimately cause you to NOT walk according to Gods will but instead you will follow your own way and will, but to be humble is to hear Gods voice (what He speaks to and over you) and submit and surrender to it, which will cause you to walk accordingly all the whilst knowing that you do not look to yourself but to Him and you do not rely on your own knowledge but His.
Like me, I believe there are a lot of people out there who has heard what God spoke over them but at times tend to not step into it for some or other reason. Now, while you might have a "valid" reason, I would like to ask you to sit still and think...have you maybe like me, chosen to not walk into your destiny due to looking to yourself (whatever this may be… iniquities, shortcomings, fear etc.) and if you have, I would like to encourage you by saying this:
When God made you He did not just speak a word, He got personally involved...He formed you with His hands and He breathed His life into you. He has called you by your name, you are His and the plans that He has for you is to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future but you need to choose to believe this truth which will then change your perspective and we need God to help us in changing our perspective because although the new perspective may not change the circumstances you may currently find yourself in it will change the way you see the circumstance and therefore change the way you handle it, as a victor or a victim?
Jeremiah 29:11-14Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Isaiah 43:1Amplified Bible (AMP)
Fill the blank in with your name
43 But now [in spite of past judgments for _______ sins], thus says the Lord, He Who created you, O _______, and He Who formed you, O _______: Fear not, for I have redeemed you [ransomed you by paying a price instead of leaving you captives]; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
The difference between a lamb being a sacrifice and a lamb being an offering is the perspective/heart condition of the lamb, which directly impacts the principle and power of the deed being done to and on the lamb.
