Have you ever asked yourself why do I do what I do? So many times we go about living our everyday lives, doing things just as they come along not really thinking why we do what we do or why we want to do something but this is not all...; how many of us actually think before we speak and contemplate the meaning behind what we are about to say?
I am a very driven and creative person that do not like to sit still (even though it is sometimes necessary) and do nothing especially during the day because most of the times I feel like I am wasting time while I could be adding meaning to life by doing something and then I would get up and start to do something even if it meant doing house chores.
Now although this may cause my house to always be clean and tidy it sometimes causes my inner being to feel empty and purposeless because if I just start to clean my house because I do not want to waste time then I do it in vain even though I get a clean and tidy house in return, but if I clean my house with purpose to spend time with God and worshiping Him whilst cleaning (when I seek God in my house cleaning, He always meets me by revealing truths to me about how His kingdom works by using metaphors) then a simple thing like house cleaning becomes a major impartation of the kingdom of God in me and in my life and that, when it reaches fullness will pour out into other parts of my life when I am interacting with people.
THIS APPLIES TO EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES
The Holy Spirit once brought to my attention that when we do something to cater for the King but do not make Him part of the process of catering, then what we would have prepared will fall short of the glory of God and it would not be a holy and acceptable gift. Only God can prepare for God, what do we have which God did not first give? So then, when we make God part of the process to cater for Him then we ourselves become the gift; holy and acceptable before Him for in the process He will sanctify us and make us holy and our lives will be a glorious offering to Him because He is holy and everything that God is made part of becomes as He is, Holy and Glorious.
How do we make Him part of the process of living a live that caters for the King adding purpose to who we are and what we do and say???
Firstly we acknowledge God as our Sovereign Ruler:
Romans 11:33-34 Amplified
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgement and decisions and how unfathomable and untraceable are His ways! For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO HAS BEEN HIS COUNSELOR?
Secondly we present ourselves to the King:
Romans 12:1 Amplified Dedicated Service
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.
And
Thirdly we make the first two count by knowing Him in all that we do and say (our very being):
For the only way that we can lead meaningful and purpose filled lives is in Him.
Proverbs 3 gives great wisdom on what it means to live a life knowing God.
So then let us not do or speak without contemplating why we are about to do or say and let us make God part of our life by giving Him all of ourselves (heart, soul, strength and mind) so that whatever we do or say will be an offering that is holy and well-pleasing to our Lord and Savior which leads to eventually our lives being an acceptable offering to our God for it will not be us but Christ in us that will be our hope of glory (an adequate, sufficiently and qualified offering worthy of God's glorification and appointment).
2 Corinthians 2:15-16 Amplified
For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which ascends] to God, [discernible both] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the latter one an aroma from death to death [fatal, offensive odor], but to the other an aroma from life to life [a vital fragrance, living and fresh]. And who is adequate and sufficiently qualified for these things?
May all reading this be inspired to live a life well pleasing to God carrying Christ in you and may He be your hope of being a offering worthy to be glorified by God (accepted and appointed).
All I know is that I want to be, how about you?
As Jesus said in His last breath:
John 17:5 Amplified
Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory and majesty that I had with You before the world existed.
