God creates all of us with the potential to be like Him in all
areas of our lives....many may ask yeah but what does this look like? And how
do we become like God (emanating His heart and character)?
Being like God can be described
through this scriptures:
1 John 4:8 Amplified
The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God (does
not and never did know Him), for God is love. (He is the originator of love,
and it is and enduring attribute of His nature). The true nature of His love can
be seen in 1 Corinthians 13
And
In order to be like someone you first need to acknowledge them,
then in order to learn from them, you need to honour them and then you go on to
knowing them by following them and doing
what you see they do.
See all of us have the potential
to have an influence in this world but we decide what influence we want to
have...positive or negative, lasting or fading...
There are only two ways that we
can influence this world in a lasting way that will surpass your natural life
and that is by either allowing God to work in and through our lives or by
allowing the enemy to work in and through our lives. The difference between the
two is we know that only one will remain in all eternity as the enemy will be
defeated and so will everything connected to him fade away eventually so we
have a choice as to which one of the two we want to abide in.
Now even though many of us may
have great potential to be like God, it does not mean that you will be because
like I said above in order to be like God (Having the same heart and
character), you first need to get near to Him and everyone that wants to get
near to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly
and diligently seek Him...Heb 11:6
So many people in the world has
so much potential and if God opens my eyes to see that, then obviously the
enemy is also opening up people’s eyes to see that.
Just like God pursues us, the
enemy also sets out to get us and he does this by either destroying us just so
that he can "shape and mould" us into the image of him or he sets out
to exalt us just so that he can watch us fall as he pulls out the platform from
underneath us just so that he can then tell you that he is the only one that
has your back and cares for you BUT he will never tell you that he was the one
who put the snare there for your destruction in the first place...
And although we seldom go to or
even acknowledge God in our lives, He never stops pursuing us for He says that
He never leaves us nor forsakes us, we just either do not know of Him or we
forget about Him as the roller-coaster of life takes place.
From the first time that I saw you Harry Styles, God showed me that you have a heart filled with love and compassion and that you have a passion to be creative and live
a life of meaning, giving life to all that you come into contact with because you know that there is more to life than just being in it. Knowing this, I started praying for
you, that you will not forget who you are and that you will not settle for what
this life has to offer but that you will seek to know God and live a life
that will truly touch the lives of all that you come across.
This morning I listened to one of your songs Harry and Holy Spirit
started speaking to me by reminding me of what He showed me in 2015 and
then He shared the following with me:
The enemy is trying to take away the identity of Harry by creating
a vain identity for him and although there is still a part of him that knows
where his roots are, the ground in which he is planted is slowly slipping away
because his house is not built firmly on the Rock-Me...Holy Spirit then
reminded me of the character you played in Dunkirk and how it contradicted your
true identity in Jesus because in Him, you are a person that will lay down your
life for someone else and you are also a person that places the needs of others
before your own, because of your love for people but the enemy is trying to
destroy this identity of you by slowly bringing in a new identity for everyone
to see and "admire" and in the process if you do not know and realize
who God really created you to be, you will start to believe that about yourself
which will ultimately water down who you really are and you will never truly be
fulfilled.
Harry, I am not even sure if you will ever see this, but this
morning I just decided that I am going to write this in an attempt to remind
you of who you really are and what God sees in you and even if you do not see
this it will remind the people of who you truly are and show them who God says
you are.
Harry, do not ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to your
heart. God loves you and created you, so that He may know you and you Him. Allow
God to touch your life and shine Himself in and through you.
You have been destined for greatness but apart from Him, the enemy
will try to steal, kill and destroy your inheritance in Jesus.
