Every now and then God asks a question that is so simple it almost feels insignificant. Yet the longer I walk with Him, the more I realise that some of His simplest questions carry the deepest truths. Recently He has been asking me one question over and over again. HE IS ENOUGH For those of you who read my article in the 28th edition of Lady Rose Magazine, you would have read my testimony on the covenant God made with me in 2009. A moment birthed out of curiosity became a journey of unconditional love. In that moment, He spoke three promises to my heart, and at the time, I held on to those words as promises. The Power of Forgiveness: My Journey to Healing Sixteen years ago, the Lord made a covenant with me, promising that there would be a child. A Word of Hope for South Africa:  Trusting in God’s Plan for Our Future Last year, in November, we went camping with friends. As we sat and chatted, one of our friends asked everyone what scripture was on their hearts. This question stirred something deep within me. This passage, a Prophecy Against the Shepherds of Israel, carries a stern warning and a profound message for spiritual leaders, me included. Ezekiel 34: A Call to Shepherds of the Nation Ezekiel 34:1-10 (AMP): "Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel... Woe (judgment is coming) to the [spiritual] shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?..." I never used to fast...not because I did not believe in it, but because I have never felt the need to do so. However, In the beginning of 2013, I felt the Lord calling me to do an Esther fast [3 days of no food and no liquids, not even water] but at the time, I did not have certainty in my heart about it. So, I asked the Lord that He should guide me and confirm His word spoken in my heart. In January my uncle was here from London and one day as we were all talking, he stopped the conversation and said "Denise, the Lord says you must do an Esther fast, cause He wants to talk to you and give you breakthrough".
